I find this take interesting, because the few times I've caught CNBC when I'm out and about, I've always thought they are so in the tank for corporate America while trying to pretend they're not as to be insultive to my intelligence. I'm not advocating for socialists interviewing capitalists, but it's so obvious to me that they're pulling punches that it's borderline kayfabe. I've never quite figured out who their audience is supposed to be: investors who are too cheap to get the cable package that includes Bloomberg, I guess?

Andrew Ross Sorkin (I'm sure he's still with the NYT?) and Joe Kernen are officially anchors of "Squawk Box", but for a brief stretch this morning they were going at one another like a rightie host and leftie caller over the virus death toll... picture, sadly no video...https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/andrew-ross-sorkin-joe-kernan-cnbc-coronavirus-deaths-1234617140/ (link)

Sorkin is listed for Colbert next Thursday (6/4)...

The Late Show Twitter feed lists Sorkin as the second guest tonight, after Rep. Karen Bass.
Before the Memorial Day break, Stephen thanked his crew for the last eight weeks of extra work doing the shows from home. Was he expecting to come back the Ed after the week off?
