I think this is the fourth version of the series, and I’m still unsure why they keep trying. Mr. Roarke is a woman this time (the niece of the original, who is seen in photos). I suspect it will fade away pretty quickly, so if you want to watch it, don’t dilly-dally.

Sometime in the past year, I was surfing on the CTV.CA app and they have old shows to watch.   One was the original Fantasy Island.    The episode I scrolled through had two fantasies:  (1) a married couple that got into swinging (hot tub scene); (2) someone using experimental drug treatment for a terminal illness.    Not sure if those plots (tropes?) would carry in modern day times.

#2 could be used to pick on the states that still haven't allowed medicinal cannabis, possibly...

But the answer to Kev is, "because they waited for both Spelling and Goldberg to pass before really going down the rabbit hole."    B
