Quick Review: Light & Magic

It’s the story of Industrial Light & Magic, done as a 5 part documentary series on Disney+. The first part, the only one I’ve seen so far, was about George Lucas hiring John Dykstra to provide special effects for Star Wars. Dykstra brought a gang of Hollywood outsiders together and they started working on things that had never been done before on film. Being Disney, the series has access to tons of footage from the early days and they can do extensive interviews with all of the surviving principal artists. Lawrence Kasdan directed the series.
