Important note on this (in the article, but I want to call it out): it's not exclusive. There's a second package that includes three of the seven Cup finals that's still up for bids and all the suspects (including NBC) are in the running for it.

With the "Sports Business Journal" reporting that NBC has pulled out of the bidding, it appears that the secondary contract may go to the networks of Turner - perhaps with an appearance or few on CBS.

It's worth noting that Hockey Night In Canada reported this weekend that *Fox* was the leader for the second half of the package, with Apple picking up a little bit.
