You’ve got to read between the lines of legalese. In this case it means the house wasn’t broken into and nobody was shot.

I’m glad the AP story included real estate values in the neighborhood.

I despise the practice of tacking on a pre-written obituary to a breaking news story about a person’s death. It is crass and distasteful, and only draws attention to the fact the story was published before all the facts were known.

Two people and a dog found dead in the same house with no apparent signs of foul play... my first guess is carbon monoxide poisoning.

The cops say "no obvious sign of a gas leak", but it's not clear if that means carbon monoxide is also ruled out.

The front door was open. They were in separate rooms. The dead dog was found locked in a closet.

Something ain’t right.
