Jenner is so stupid, she voted for and supported Trump as he openly and actively worked to strip away her rights and liberties. All the operations and augmentations to change Jenner’s looks; too bad no time or money was invested working on Jenner’s brain.

I suspect even Angelyne will get more votes in the recall.

I get the feeling Jenner’s political run is getting a hell of a lot more attention outside of California then in. Even among my conservative friends I don’t know anyone who really cares much about her, and almost everybody is ignoring her. Which is as it should be.

Jenner has also appeared to be a combination of clueless and unprepared about specific policies she would pursue if elected.  That doesn't distinguish her, IMO, from most of the other declared candidates, but it's not doing her any favors.

I moved to Sacramento at the beginning of the year, and I'm still a bit surprised at how little attention this whole thing has been getting.  I've seen very few political ads, and they've all been variations of the same dumb spot from the guy who lost last time.  I think lately the Bee has written more about the local state employees' union election than the recall.

There are allegedly 3 or so serious candidates seeking the top spot, but they've all been pretty quiet, or so it seems.  Maybe this is because a date hasn't officially been set, but with at most five months to go, it's very peculiar for a U.S. campaign.

Newsom’s re-election is almost a foregone conclusion. He’s still a two-faced goober, but his quick thinking at the outset of the pandemic saved lives. The fact he was focused on people instead of businesses is only a bad thing if you don’t care about your fellow man. So aside from the estimated budget of $215 million of taxpayer money to hold the stupid election, there isn’t much to be interested about.

Jenner is polling at 6 percent. As the article points out, consecutive Republicans are not comfortable withe Jenner being transgender and people who are comfortable with transgender don't like her embracing Trump.

Yes and no. The extremist mayor of Huntington Beach has been ousted. Dana “I’m openly working for the Russians” Rohrabacher lost his re-election. Many of the OC MAGA cult went to Texas (sorry Texans). While they are by no means turning progressive, they are far less stupid in Orange County than even a couple years ago.

Most of the areas that petitioned for the recall are in Central and bits of Northern California, aka the land of Devin Nunes. Also San Diego, where it was great fun to watch uptight conservatives arguing in court that the closure of strip clubs during the pandemic was unAmerican.
