The singer, actor and activist was a frequent presence on television, although he did not have a regular series--in 1960, the variety special "Harry Belafonte Tonight" won an Emmy (making him one of the first Black recipients), but after a second special Revlon bailed out of sponsorship because he demanded that both Black and white performers appear on the program (the company that helped cause the quiz scandals because they demanded contestant manipulation by the producers of "The $64,000 Question")--in 1968, Chrysler threatened to bail out of a Petula Clark special when he touched her arm during a duet and the sponsor wanted the number edited, but the producers prevailed--and in 1985 he helped organize USA for Africa and appeared in the chorus in the smash charity single and video "We Are the World":

On Peacock there is a documentary film called The Sit-In about a week in early 1968 when Johnny Carson took a vacation and let Belafonte guest host and choose his own guests. There’s almost no footage from the shows extant but the documentary is worth watching anyway.
