My poor son has been on hold for for six months from an eight year dream to spend a year or two teaching in Japan through the JET program. They have set and canceled several start dates. The word on his grapevine is that, regardless of what it says publicly, the Japanese government has known for a while there will be no Olympics this cycle.

Hoping that’s not true, his current start date is April 1.
