HBO has yet to schedule the series. Considering that it's from "Veep" and "Thick of It" creator Armando Iannucci and starring Hugh Laurie, there will be interest in it.

Is "Avenue 5" a number-themed version of "Avenue Q," or is it about the Avenues street gang in L.A.?

(Answer: it is neither. It is apparently a live-action extended version of the "Futurama" episode that takes place on a space cruise ship named "Titanic.")
