In an NYT interview, Letterman calls CBS and the Ellisons "lying weasels" (I think he just called CBS "weasels" back in the day), holds no grudge with his former writing partner Byron Allen (although he compares his shows to self-storage units) and predicts that late-night won't last longer than maybe a year:
