The CBC in both its English and French identities (the French would be Societe Radio-Canada--and yes, the French TV network is Ici [this is] Radio-Canada) has joined two newspaper group owners, BellMedia's Toronto Globe and Mail and the Canadian Press (the equivalent to the AP here) have sued the AI company for using their copyrighted material to train its AI systems:

If only we had a justice department in the US who looked out for us and took action against these companies that are blatantly stealing product created by others without permission and for profit.
