I read the Vanity Fair article before the LA Times. What Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering are doing is going to actresses from previous generations and getting their recollections about their working conditions and the trauma of sexual harassment and assault from that time. Jerry Lewis was probably the most obnoxious of the harassers and Vanity Fair centered their article around him. But Dick and Ziering aren’t looking to cancel him as much as give a voice to survivors who couldn’t speak up when it happened.
I didn’t bother with Allen vs Farrow because even with good intentions they weren’t going to resolve that problem. To use that to cast doubt on the testimony against Lewis is ignoring the stories of the survivors.
