He says that this was not how he expected to end his stint on "The Late Show," that CBS chief George Cheeks pretty much told him that they would not interfere in the last ten months, explains why they tell the audience not to boo Trump (timing, mostly, but they don't follow the instructions a lot) and that Keith Olbermann may be right when he says that Colbert is not as liberal as people think (he also says that Colbert is closer to the "Report" character, but I don't think so):
