This made the rounds on social media last week. Perhaps others were aware of it, but I was not. Apparently they produced a series of TV movies in Japan featuring their own rumpled Detective Lieutenant Columbo.
I feel like these movies need to be on a streaming channel with subtitles.

There's a fantastic 50th anniversary tribute to Columbo this week on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast. Their guest is David Koenig, author of a new book on the series. Highly recommended.
