Former CNN anchor Don Lemon had made a handshake deal with looney Elon to produce videos to run on X, but when he invited Musk to be his first guest in March and asked him some questions about his drug use and politics, Musk cancelled the deal, later making statements that it was what he did at "failing" CNN--Lemon is now suing Musk on damages on six counts including fraud and misrepresentation (Musk told Lemon that he would support the show no matter what and pay him $1.5M a year for his services before the interview):
X chief executive Linda Vaccarino, who has the unenviable job of cleaning up Musk's messes, had announced Lemon's show in January as part of content designed to bring back advertisers who have left in droves since Musk bought Twitter, changed its name and made it more of a flaming pit of hell than it already was. Of the other hosts announced, hot-headed former ESPN and Fox Sports host Jim Rome has been making shows for X and wack job Tulsi Gabbard has yet to begin.
