Golden Globes Voters Are Revolting

Penske Media, the dominant force in entertainment industry media coverage which is the new owner of the awards ceremony that disbanded the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and expanded the voting pool to 300 to attempt to avoid the alleged chicanery of the past, supposedly told some of the longtime members that they will not be able to attend the awards in person Jan. 7 in person at the Beverly Hilton's ballroom, but could attend a viewing party elsewhere in the hotel--64 members (about 20 percent of the total) claim that they are going to withhold their final ballots, which are due at the end of this week, unless they get tickets and claim that some of the new members are also unhappy about this:

That ballroom does look bigger on TV than in real life. The years I worked on that sh*tshow, there was no backstage area… if you walked off the stage, you literally walked outside the building. They couldn’t fit all the “critics” (sarcastic air quotes) back then. Nearly tripling the amount of them guaranteed they wouldn’t all fit.
