Six VOA staffers, including the former White House correspondent who, when asking the prime minister of Ireland a tough question had Trump interrupt and say "who are you?" and when she said "Voice of America," said "no wonder" and called on another reporter, have sued the Trump administration and their very brief boss Kari Lake, the showboating former TV news anchor who lost twice in Arizona elections, stating the 900 VOA employees put on "administrative leave" get their jobs back, claiming First Amendment rights and bypassing Congressional approval:


And when NPR's David Folkenfilk tried to interview Lake, she said that she does not speak to "disreputable" news shops. But she still speaks to Fox News, Newsmax and OAN.

Judge Royce Lamberth of the District Court for DC and a Reagan appointee, blocked the defunding of the US Agency for Global Media, halting the deactivation of VOA, along with Radio Free Asia and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks... constitutional grounds cited, along with the International Broadcasting Act which enables the three broadcasters...
