For those old/lucky enough to have seen the Jon Pertwee stories, Richard Franklin, who played the UNIT officer Capt. Yates, passed Christmas Day... he reprised the role (retired from the service) in "The Five Doctors" and that stinker Who/EastEnders crossover charity special "Dimensions in Time" in 1993... 87.
