The Tunnel (UK, France)

[I composed this over a month ago, but just found it in my Drafts.   Apologies if I sent it before]

One of our cable cutting friends has been watching shows on Britbox and CBC Gem.    One they suggested on CBC Gem was _The_Tunnel_.    We just binged the ten 46-minute episodes in a couple days.

It's a UK/France coproduction from 2013.   The only reason you know is old is because of BlackBerry phone and T9 style SMS.

It's a great murder mystery cop intrigue kind of show.  Starting premise is that there is a dead body found in the channel tunnel at the border, so it's a dual investigation.

I also spent a fair bit reading about the tunnel and exploring Google maps for the areas.   Adam has a beautiful country, when not foggy 😀. France looks good too 😀.

"The Tunnel" is actually a UK/France remake of the Swedish/Danish series "The Bridge". In that case, the body that kicks things off is found in the middle of the Øresund Bridge which runs between the two countries. That series aired on BBC Four in the UK and was very entertaining. The remake aired on Sky Atlantic in the UK, and does have a great cast. 

There have subsequently been plenty of other remakes around the world, not least the FX series also called "The Bridge" between El Paso and Juarez.
