That's a really interesting obit of someone I've never heard of. Thanks.

It has also led me to a rabbit hole that I've bookmarked to fall into later. The mention of Wolpert's love of the Classics Illustrated books reminded me that I had enjoyed a couple of them as a child. "I wonder if you can find those anywhere," I thought ... and I should have anticipated where a Google search led me:

The name was ringing a bell, but I couldn't figure out from where - but it was all the Goodson/Todman game shows.  I almost certainly spotted his name in the credits.

That Internet Archive page for some odd reason doesn't have their version of David Copperfield, a 60s version of which, I swear, had Mr Dick taking a break from writing his "memorial" because Shakespeare, not King Charles I, kept "getting into it"... strictly for the American version, Gilberton? Huh??     B
