'Price' First Out of TV City Before Renovation

The venerable CBS game show will begin its 52nd season in the fall at the new Haven Studios in Glendale after 51 years in Studio 33 (aka "The Bob Barker Studio") as Television City Studios in the Fairfax District undergoes a $1.25B renovation project that will double the number of studios and modernize facilities--network and production company stablemate "Let's Make a Deal" will also move to Haven from its current home in Van Nuys,  and no indication if the show will go back to a fuller audience after two pandemic-induced years of seating pre-selected contestants and their families in pods (which have increased lately), a year before that of no audience with the pre-selected contestants standing in the hallway wearing masks until George Gray called their name and three years of extremely obvious sweetening:

As for the other current shows in TV City (Corden, who's ending, "Y&R," "B&B," Maher, "Idol," "Dancing with the Stars," maybe the "@midnight" reboot), no indication yet, although I would not be surprised if the Bell family soaps move to Sony (even if "B&B" isn't owned by Sony).

Don't some of the ABC primetime game shows (Pyramid, PyL, etc.) also tape at Television City?

Press Your Luck has always taped at Television City, except for the pandemic-affected Season 3, which was done at Radford.

Press Your Luck has already moved to Haven Studios, taping this week and next according to On Camera Audiences. (Although I assume that's based on the assumption that Elizabeth Banks' voice improves from what we heard at the Oscars last night.) I think that was the only one of ABC's game shows that taped at Television City, but Fremantle-owned Celebrity Family Feud is also moving to Haven when it tapes its next season. Presumably To Tell The Truth will as well when/if it records more episodes, but there has been a full season that's been sitting unaired for over a year.

According to Randy West on Facebook (random quotes):

The Price is Right has moved maybe 75% of their massive number of games, set pieces, props and prizes from TV City. The big wheel has yet to make the trip down towards Glendale.

You'd be surprised to know how many storage areas, buildings and underground holding areas they had. If the new owners of the studio were charging rental for all of those thousands of square feet, I'd have left even sooner!
More to come. Taping at the new studio starts August 2nd and, oh yes, you will want to watch the first shows of the new season in September!

It's called Haven Studios and is near the L.A. - Glendale border. Price will share a massive studio with Let's Make a Deal. The space was very recently transformed from an industrial building, and this summer's Press Your Luck already taped there.

Even after rehearsals, CBS Electronics used to be down the hall with the last guy who built the electronics for those games. There'll be one tech in the new studio, but he doesn't have the experience with the older games, nor will he have lots of spare parts on site. It's a 30 minute drive... tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock...

Semi related, but the big auction of TV memorabilia includes set pieces from TPIR, Jeopardy!, and other game shows. I wanted the Plinko sign, but I was only willing to spend $25 for it.
