Pete Hegseth, army vet and host of "Fox & Friends Weekend," has been called "undoubtedly the most unqualified nominee for SecDef in American history" by one vets advocate, was in charge of a Koch brothers organization wanting to privatize VA health insurance before he joined FNC, has called for the culling of anyone in the military who is "woke" and produced this response from a defense industry lobbyist to Politico:  "Who the f--k is this guy?":


I thought Trump would be more interested in having "Fox & Friends Weekend" host and former "Real World" cast member Rachel Campos-Duffy around to bang.

I have no idea if Hegseth is in any way intelligent but it could be a good thing if DoD were run by someone who is not in the military/defense lobbyist community. It’s such a closed society and a bloated system and the military folks always demand insiders to run it so there will be no disruption.

Also we know from the previous Trump administration that cabinet appointments only last about a year.

It’s going to be a nail biter on who is the most deplorable, least qualified, most absurd Trump Cabinet choice. Hegseth will give it a good go, but I think Matt Gaetz has the inside track…
