Had three different careers for ABC... first as a director/producer at Sports, then becoming its boxing analyst after Howard Cosell retired... then pivoting to management in the first Iger era, becoming network president in 2000... V noted the time in '04 he had to persuade then-nascent Kimmel to make nice with Detroit after the "burn the city down" line...
