In response to a lawsuit by 12 blue state Attorney Generals seeking to block the controversial action, the move cannot go forward for at least 14 days--Par says it still plans to have the merger completed by Sept. 30 (if they don't, they have to pay out a "ticking fee" to shareholders that could pay out $650M per quarter) (link is Axios, for those who don't like their "Smart Brevity" style):

The European Commission clears the merger... United International, the Par/Universal combo in Europe, will end next year... UK officials have yet to decide:
