Half of Comedy Duo Who Had to Follow the Beatles on Sullivan Dies at 93

The comedy duo of Mitzi McCall and Charlie Brill had their big television debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on Feb. 9, 1964--the same show where four lovable moptops from Liverpool made their American television debut--and the two of them had to follow a Beatles song with the girls in the studio audience still screaming--the two of them survived and had a steady career in Hollywood, if not exactly super-celebrity--Ms. McCall and Brill were married for 64 years, appeared on "Laugh-In" and many game shows together, while she got her start doing a kiddie show in Pittsburgh and made many series appearances and cartoon voices, along with being a writer as well--and her godchildren are Melissa and Sara Gilbert--she died Thursday in a Burbank hospital accompanied by many of her loved ones:

Brill is, of course, remembered as Arne Darvin, the Klingon spy, from the classic Star Trek episode "The Trouble with Tribbles", and it's tribute followup on DS9, "Trials and Tribble-ations".  (And why, per canon, the Klingon homeworld of Qu'nos, has a Brooklyn.
