Quinta Brunson hinted during SDCC that a Philly team would figure in an episode in the upcoming fifth season, but not till late last night was it revealed that said team would be their Major League Baseball side... specifically Kyle Schwarber, who went 4-for-6 with four home runs, the 21st time the latter's occurred in the sport; he's the fourth Phil to accomplish the feat (the other three are in baseball's Hall of Fame):

Today I Learned™ a new industry term: "bottle episode," (Wiki) "produced cheaply and restricted in scope to use as few actors, effects and sets as possible."

MLB Studios, which is the faceless corporate entity that was quoted using the term "bottle episode," used it incorrectly - in fact, shooting on location is basically the antithesis of a bottle episode.

The original Star Trek series made heavy use of the bottle episode in order to save money for other higher budget episodes. The franchise has continued in that tradition.

Essentially, main cast only, standing sets only. No big special effects shots. Usually more talking scenes.
