Yeah.... the main countrywide OTA network will be live, covering an election that isn't even ours.  I haven't seen what CTV and Global will be doing yet (I didn't look).

Television

Coverage will begin at 5 p.m. ET on CBC News Network, hosted by Vassy Kapelos.

Then at 8 p.m. ET,  it's our CBC News special: America Votes hosted by The National's Adrienne Arsenault alongside Andrew Chang and Ian Hanomansing on CBC Television and CBC News Network. They will take viewers right through until 3 a.m. ET when Heather Hiscox will take over with continuing coverage and results.

They have to see whether or not to throw away the key.

CTV is running an election special from 8-11 p.m. Eastern. (On the west coast, they'll follow that up with sitcom reruns.)
Global is running Solo: A Star Wars Story, presumably at 8 p.m. local.
CITY is running syndicated sitcom reruns.

All this to determine whether we need to join with Mexico on building two walls....

Here in the UK you've got the following options:

- BBC coverage going out on BBC1, the BBC News Channel and the BBC World News channel globally. Coverage starts at 11.30pm UK time, and continues through until 1.00pm the following day.

- ITV coverage starts at 11.00pm UK time and continues until 6.00am when Good Morning Britain begins (no doubt with further coverage).

- Sky News coverage starts at 10.00pm UK time and runs through until 7.00am, but will undoubtedly continue to major on the election. Coverage is simulcast on Sky Atlantic, the channel that mostly runs HBO and Showtime series here. Sky News also gets carried internationally in a lot of places.

It's not immediately clear how each of these channels will use coverage from their various news affiliates in the US. The BBC has an agreement with CBS News, while Sky News and NBC News share a common owner. I'm not sure sure if ITV (ITN) and ABC have a formal agreement or not.

I'll probably stick with CNN myself, although I'll also have access to whatever CNBC does (I'm not sure that it's a straight re-broadcast of NBC News). And there's the internet of course.

(Note that News Corp pulled Fox News from the UK market several years ago - we did previously get it relatively unfettered).

I expect I’ll have NPR on at work most of the day at work and on the drive home. At home, probably switch between CBS and ABC News. Then, depending on who wins, I’ll be weeping into a pillow or scaring the cats by dancing around the living room

Keep an eye on FL and NC, which should report out around 5:00 pm ET. If Biden wins one of them (or GA, which may be know a bit later), Trump is toast. If Trump wins all three, race is 50/50.

For the record, the polls in Georgia close at 7:00 Eastern, North Carolina at 7:30, and Florida at 8:00.

During the first debate, I watched "The Little Mermaid," a Disney movie I had never seen before.

This time I've rented another one I've missed, the original "Mulan." Although I'm toying with the idea of pulling out my copy of "Goldfinger" as a tribute to Sean Connery.

BBC World News is likely to be on the bigger U.S. cable systems.  Sky News is on Peacock, streamer Pluto TV and probably other live streaming services.  And BritBox for some reason offers "Good Morning Britain" with your degenerate host Piers Morgan while they don't offer "Pointless" and "The Chase."  You do that BritBox and I'll subscribe to you in an instant.

I have set my new capacity TiVo to record CNN, MSNBC, and CBC.    I'll probably flip between all 3, but more focus on MSNBC for Kornacki's wall (stiff John King on CNN doesn't do much for me).   Also if Rick Santorum shows up on a CNN panel, I'll be flipping channels faster than you can say "frothy mixture".

I already had to switch off NPR... it was fluffy fluff full of fluff. “Meet Bob, a limo driver who drives people to the polls...” F*ck Bob, I want numbers! I want to know why the USPS is reporting major delays in states that won’t accept ballots after Election Day!
