He endured so much loss in his life and always found a way to laugh and make others laugh. Episodes of his podcast were inspirational and funny. This one stings, but frankly everything stings right now.--

Bob Saget is younger than my mom and stepdad, and if that doesn't make me want to pound Tito's for the rest of the night, nothing will.

I have to admit to not having been a fan, of either his TV work or his stand up, though that would not prevent me from mourning his death. But reading the heartfelt reactions from so many people I do respect going out of their way to say how warm and good he was has turned me around on him as a person.

I wasn't much of a fan of his either. But I know many liked him and his work.

Aside....  we watched the Betty White 60 minute thing on Netflix tonight. Apparently dated 2018.  Remarkable to see how many people interviewed then have now passed away.

I think you’d have to look high and low to find another comic of his generation as actively involved in charities than he was. Once I was older than eight or nine, I was officially too old to appreciate either Full House or America’s Funniest Videos, but I’m a fan of his stand-up. And some of his appearances seated next to Johnny Carson are great late night TV. I hope the Carson estate is as quick to post videos as our resident Letterman archivist.

Saget was on a few episodes of "Entourage" and was funny there. He was a good comic but I never tried to see him the dozen times he was in town.

I’ve seen his stand up, and his talk show appearances. Did not work for me. But, as I say, I defer to those who knew him that he was a good person.

As I never watched the Full House, I didn't feel the 'wow' factor of the contrast between his TV and stand-up personas.  But to have had as long a career as he did I feel he had to have the goods, and be decent enough a person to maintain his working relationships long past any TV fame would have subsided.

Whatever the reason he's gone, it's way too soon.
