NBCSN dropping Dan Patrick simulcast

Thursday apparently will be the last airing. Much like with "Football Night...", he and AT&T couldn't decide on terms with the channel. The DirecTV and radio (two stations locally) carriage continue.

Five weeks ago a local paper in Milford, CT (link), where DP's regular "Man Cave" sits over-top of a Subway restaurant, reported that a new studio was being developed elsewhere in town, with no stairs for entry, for late-spring début... (spoiler: it's next to a firehouse)

The Subway closed, so presumably the building will be redeveloped.

Dan said opening the 11:00am hour that details of a new non-AT&T TV home for the show will arrive tomorrow.

Actually, it's NOT non-AT&T, now that the merger (qv) was validated... B/R Live will, he suggested, carry the show beginning Friday.

Things could obviously change with all these mergers and new distribution plans, but if it winds up that there's no $ub$cription, it will be the first thing on their site that they offer gratis, as far as I can tell. They offer a wide variety of ala carte subscription packages, based on the particular sport/league/event you're interested in viewing. But admittedly, I can't find any comparable open-ended productions that they offer, to see how they would price anything similar to DP's show.

So the earlier rumors were a bit premature, but official word finally came today: The Dan Patrick Show will debut as a live stream on the B/R Live website, *free of subscription fees* beginning Monday, March 25.

They share an affiliate feed at Premiere, and of course Audience. The local sports stations opt for Fox Sports Radio's Colin Cowherd 12 to 3 east.

I've watched a couple of shows, and right now have Eisen on, with no unexpected issues, despite my modest 25meg connexion.

The new studio (link) is close to ready, and the current one will be retired after this Wednesday's (4/03) program. (The gang will spend next week in Minneapolis ahead of the Final Four®, then a stretch in lower Manhattan.)

The radio, B/R Live, and podcast versions remain. The show's 'toob channel (link) will fill in until a new TV provider steps up.
