The outcome of one character was predictable… it was shown in the first episode… but my wife was off-put by the story contrivance that literally everyone could detect liver damage just by looking at it.

Meanwhile, there was no shared moment with the Dutton family as they settled on their new ranch. And the foreigners/pioneers turned out to be more disposable than cattle, dispensed with in a single wordless scene. Most annoying was yet another empty suicide.
