I suppose all things pass, but a world without Warner Bros is going to be a very different media world. They really are just about all that remains of what was once Hollywood.

But more than anything, watching the company get gutted, watching the company get molested, all on the pretense of saving it, only to see it destroyed… there really should be somebody who gets sued for that.

At the very least, I ought to be able to buy the rights to the unreleased Batgirl movie for ten bucks and a carton of Lucky Strikes.

In 1969, Warner Bros. was purchased by a company called Kinney National Service, which had made all its money running parking lots and funeral homes. (Within a couple years, Kinney spun off its non-media properties and then changed its name to "Warner Communications.")

I'm not going to lament the end of Hollywood until the new owner actually turns the Warner Bros. studios into a funeral home and/or a parking lot.
