As part of a whole series of name changes at Unca Walt's TV department, 20th-Century Fox Television will now take on the Twentieth Television name of its former syndication division, which is now folded into Disney-ABC Domestic and International Distribution, ABC Studios will now be known by the name of its cable and streaming division ABC Signature and the former Fox cable and streaming division Fox 21 Television Studios will take on the name of Touchstone Television, not used at the Mouse House since the distribution agreement with DreamWorks for live action features ended in 2016:

Earlier this year, the "Fox" names were dropped from 20th Century Pictures and Searchlight Pictures, respectively, indicating that Disney still wanted Searchlight around for Oscar bait.  The new Touchstone logo is surprisingly the same as Fox 21's "typed out" logo, presuming that for shows like "American Horror Story" made under both names, they can replace the Fox 21 logo with the Touchstone logo visually and use the same typewriter sounds as audio.  At 20th, Alfred Newman's famous fanfare remains (in those instances where it isn't squeezed back or covered up by "Dua Lipa guest hosts 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' after your local news!"

We are all Disney, and Disney is all of us.

I picked up a CD box set of the original Star Wars trilogy scores about 20 years ago. One of the best things about that set is the 20th Century Fox fanfare precedes the theme music. I am not as big a critic of the most recent Star Wars trilogy as others (I like them, in spite of their flaws), but I lament not hearing the fanfare before each movie begins. Disney might own the rights, Lucas might have created the franchise, but they will always be Fox films to me.

Thread crossover!

After watching Muppets Now!, my wife wanted to cleanse to the aural palette by listening to "Kermit's Real Voice", so she put on "The Muppet Movie". Or as Disney Plus listed it, "Disney's The Muppet Movie". Which sent me through the roof in fury.

Whenever Disney makes me not like them, they do something else that makes me double my fury.
