It took them a while, not just the month since he made his idiotic comment about Native Americans, but the how many years he has been with them, but CNN finally terminated Rick Santorum’s contract. The did this quietly earlier this week.

The story bothers me because CNN did not make the move in public and they haven't established bright lines as to what they find so unacceptable that they would let somebody go.It means little that they fire Santorum when they eagerly bring on other right wing provocateurs and let them make bad faith or bigoted attacks without consequence.It feels more like they washed their hands of a PR problem than drew a line in the sand for decency.
