Remember the days of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls? Those days aren't coming back, but the network you watched those games on has the NBA again, and that's pretty much the story of NBC's fall (as listed by the Wrap, all times ET, new shows in caps:
oa
Mondays
8-10 p.m. — “The Voice”
10-11 p.m. — “Brilliant Minds”

Tuesdays (September)
8-10 p.m. — “The Voice”
10-11 p.m. — ON BRAND WITH JIMMY FALLON--Do you really want East Coast Jimmy designing your marketing campaign with the help of a Real Housewife? That's the premise of this reality show in which Fallon gets into the marketing business with the assistance of Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Bozoma St. John, who seems to be known more for her showboating self-promotion (and using corporate money for herself) than any actual marketing successes. This should be a horror show. In-house.

Tuesdays (October)
8-11 p.m. — NBA--Play "Roundball Rock," John Tesh, the NBA is back on NBC, baby! The multi-year, multi-billion dollar contract starts out with a game on NBC Tuesday nights, with additional games streamed on Peacock, along with a Peacock game on Monday night. After football season, it'll be Sunday Night Basketball with the Tuesday games. (And yes, that John Tesh theme song is back.)

One Chicago Wednesdays
8-9 p.m. — “Chicago Med”
9-10 p.m. — “Chicago Fire”
10-11 p.m. — “Chicago P.D.”

Thursdays
8-9 p.m. — “Law & Order”
9-10 p.m. — “Law & Order: SVU”
10-11 p.m. — “The Hunting Party”

Fridays
8-9 p.m. — “On Brand With Jimmy Fallon” (presumably moving once basketball season starts)
9-11 p.m. — “Dateline NBC “

 Saturdays
7-7:30 p.m. — Big Ten Pregame/Notre Dame Pregame (also live on Peacock)
7:30-11 p.m. — Big Ten Saturday Night/Notre Dame Football (also live on Peacock)

7-8:20 p.m. ET— Football Night in America (also live on Peacock)
8:20-11 p.m. ET— NBC Sunday Night Football (also live on Peacock)

Slim pickins for scripted shows--the only one announced for mid-season is the new Tina Fey/Robert Carlock sitcom "The Fall and Rise of Reggie DInkins," starring Tracy Morgan as a disgraced football player trying to get his image back. It seems not to be an Americanization of the 70s BBC Britcom "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin," but that doesn't necessarily mean there won't be a lawsuit and/or title change.

Stand by for Fox.

And to think once upon a time, these kinds of schedules would have been exciting.

The naming of that new Tina Fey sitcom is very strange. While there could be a "fall and rise" of a lot of things, to have a similarly named lead character and *not* be some kind of remake/reboot/reimagining is strange...

I’m surprised they didn’t find room on Wednesday for Chicago Pope.

The new Fox show Best Medicine is an Americanized remake of
Doc Martin.  That fits with Americanized remake of Reginald
Perrin which has already been remade in Britain as Reggie, starring
Martin Clunes aka Doc Martin himself.

However, Mr. Jordan was hired as a "special contributor" to the NBA deal, setting off all kinds of speculation about what that will entail... and the late Jim Fagan, voiceover announcer in the original incarnation, has been AI-resurrected for this one...
I've speculated in other venues that what with MJ's involvement in NASCAR auto racing as a team partner, he could be called upon for longform original projects profiling other greats of the game, similarly to what one of that venue's greats, Dale Earnhardt jnr, has done within and outside of the NBCU sphere at his Dirty Mo Media (named for Mooresville, North Carolina, in the heart of racin' country)...
