New England public media to merge

Hoping that, as part of the merger, they bring back the old WGBH logo and slightly ominous fanfare that used to precede episodes of This Old House.

It's still there--it just comes at the end of their shows in a shortened version. I believe that you hear it in the legal ID every hour on WGBH-FM in Boston. And the current GBH logo is a lot like the old logo. PBS stopped doing the logos at the top of their shows (similar to what the ITV stations in the UK used to do) a long time ago.
