Martin Clunes, who played the title doctor for the entire twenty-year run of the cosy ITV dramedy that became popular on US public TV, will appear on the upcoming Fox Americanization of the show "Best Medicine," scheduled for mid-season on probably the only live-action scripted night on the network of Tuesdays, as the father of the American Doc Martin, played by Josh Charles:
