Before the acquisition of WarnerMedia, Discovery had been an early investor in GB News, the satellite channel created as an alternative to the libbies at the BBC and ITV (never mind that there those on the left who see the Beeb as kissing Tory butt)--the channel's early days was a comedy of errors that will probably make a great BBC miniseries--the official word is that WBD already has enough news holdings with CNN and others and doesn't need anymore:
