In an era where Westerns were dominating the TV schedules and big chunks of ABC's lineup were produced by Warner Bros., Will Hutchins played the mild-mannered eastern law student turned frontier sheriff in "Sugarfoot" for four years, along with the similarly-lighthearted Warners Western "Maverick" on ABC--he later starred in the flop sitcoms "Hey Landlord" and "Blondie" (as Dagwood) and then became a traveling clown who performed all over the world--Apr. 21 of respiratory failure in Manhasset, NY:
