I have many issues with AI… feel free to find me on LinkedIn for all of them.
As it relates to the entertainment industry, as with anything, technology has to turn a profit, or it is a loss. Building an algorithm that makes Disney videos only works if audiences want the finished product. It only works if it doesn’t wreck the brand.
AI companies are shuffling money back and forth, billions of dollars, but they have next to nothing to show for it. Private equity is dealing from the bottom of the deck. The government has been influenced/coerced/bribed to turn a blind eye to the malfeasance.
It costs more money to cool the servers than it takes in. These companies are all poised to implode.
This story is about more than Disney and OpenAI. The wheels are coming off.
