After a Coach's Corner segment Saturday that was dripping with racism, Sportsnet (who owns the broadcast and airs it on CBC) sends Cherry packing.

not a surprise. There is no freaking way that CBC or Sportsnet would have let that go without punishment.

They have previously, on several occasions. The fear of an uprising should he be fired kept Cherry on 20+ years past his best-buy date.

agreed.... Don has said a lot of dumb things over the years. But this one exploded quickly and viciously.
