I actually thought he handled himself rather well - he seems to have a decent understanding of comic timing, and played with his image (and the image of the NJ stereotype) rather coyly. The nod to his Bruuuuuuce fandom was a nice touch as well. I'm not saying I would want to see him host, but I appreciate that he's willing to step out of character a little bit.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating: I'm not a fan of Christie's policies, but I've been very impressed with how he's handled himself and the state since Hurricane Sandy.
