In our last TVIC session, we had a brief chat around tools used for file versioning and some of the issues with dropbox replicating corrupted files around all systems.

Here's a recent survey that might be of interest to the folks who are keen on these types of things.


More surveys of tools used/deployed by various teams around the world.

I didn't know people would/could use Dropbox for file versioning and management.

I personally use good old rdfiff-backup ( http://www.nongnu.org/rdiff-backup/ ) that does incremental backups either locally or over the network. Bitbucket and Mercurial are my personal choices for projects.
