One More Cast…

Hi all…

With the lack of rain lately the ponds have been dropping fast and the bass haven’t had as much cover or structure to hide in, so things have slowed down.

I did hook a nice sized Catfish out long at Calumet this morning and had a couple other strikes using a Texas rigged lizard.

I switched to a Shakey head jig and a Zman SMHwormz and got a couple dink hits

Then made my last cast in the same area when Miss Piggy hit my bait and started running. After several good run finally got her beached weighing-in at 9.4lbs. This should be my 10th FWC Trophy Catch.

Just goes to show you, you never know when you’re gonna hook a Monster on these ponds…

Ok, I screwed up…. My scale was set to OUNCES, not Pounds and Ounces, so this fish only weighed 5.8lbs.

Thought it didn’t seem that big, but I was in a hurry to get her back in the water so I didn’t double check the scale setting till later… 🙄🙄🙄
