INVITATION TO A BRAINSTORM SESSION Monday February 8, 7PM on Zoom

President Biden's plan at https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/National-Strategy-for-the-COVID-19-Response-and-Pandemic-Preparedness.pdf says:

In order to Restore trust with the American people.

Engage the American people. The federal government cannot solve this crisis alone.

It will take regular engagement with the public, state and local leaders, the private

sector, unions, community volunteers, and health care providers to guide policy

and implementation. The Administration will prioritize outreach to state and local

governments, the public and private sectors, vulnerable communities, students,

workers, and community leaders, using input from these stakeholders to drive the

government’s COVID-19 response.

With that responsibilty in mind here is an INVITATION TO A BRAINSTORM SESSION:  

An opportunity for community involvement in covid response improvement.  Many have ideas that can improve the response, the purpose of the sessions is to find some good ideas and then promote those ideas.

Game plan>> Initial zoom meeting to work on the ideas and see if we can focus on a few ideas, then create a video presentation posted on the TVDC YouTube Channel and use other social media to promote the video to elected officials and those who we want to inform.

Some covid related issues that the ideas might address, as a jumping off point:

• What was HR 6906, the Health Care Emergency Guarantee Act - covers medical & drug expenses not covered by healthcare plans
• Help for families where the wage earner is hospitalized, similarly for mothers and care givers
• Help for frontline workers isolated from their families
• Improvement in tracing
• Help with 
• Isolation if testing positive without symptoms, dealing with responsibilities
• Vaccination 
• Recovery after leaving the hospitalization
• Business recovery and changes

• Legal restrictions
• Readiness for future pandemics
• Worldwide issues
• Public relations: 
• Convincing people to take the vaccine
• Following safety procedures
• Mask wearing
