Dear DPCCC, Democratic Club and Community Leaders,

I just received this packet from CaDem with an important ask: to organize a mobilization effort in Contra Costa county to Fight the Recall of Governor Newsom.

We spoke about this at our DPCCC meeting two days ago and agreed that we (the DPCCC) should play a significant role in convening our broad community of Democrats to organize a county-wide effort to educate and mobilize voters to fight the Recall.  I was tasked with bringing this to our Executive Committee meeting, April 1st, to figure out our plan.

I believe April 1st is too late.  Given the tools that CaDem has developed (please see all below) and the statewide call to action, I would like to convene all DPCCC Leadership (Officers, District Directors and Committee Chairs) and all Club Leaders to figure out our specific roles in reaching out to our public officials, our labor partners, our activist leaders, our grassroots members, etc. over the next 6 weeks.

As your County Chair, I am fully supportive of mobilizing all Democrats in Contra Costa; however, I cannot do this alone.  I need every one of you and I trust all of you are onboard with fighting this Recall.  So let’s come together Friday, March 26th at 5 pm to make a specific plan and divide up responsibilities.

A Zoom link and Registration for this meeting will be provided shortly.  Please mark your calendars and register when you get the invitation to do so.

Attached you will find a list of County and Municipal Elected officials in Contra Costa County. As the County Chair, we are hoping that you can take the lead on getting endorsements from Local Elected Officials in your County. We relied on a third party for the information, so if you see any mistakes please let us know.  You will see people that you know to be Democrats that are marked as NPP. Please let us know and we will update the tracker. The document we are working off put candidates that are in non political positions as NPP.
