[thl Super Box] Upload and Download Files via FTP Service

Hi everyone. I'm a salesman, one of sales agents who sell thl Super Box.

I'm happy to come here, this is a good place to share everyone's using experience of various TV boxes, I love here, I should discover this place earlier. ^&^

Now as a member of this group, I'm gonna share a hidden way to transfer files between thl Super Box and PC which is not public by thl official.

I wanna say definitely the way I'm gonna share is a simple and effective way.

Now let me start to write down my first post here.

First of all, you have to make thl Super Box and your computer be in a same LAN (Let's talk about what on earth LAN connection mode exactly is). 

If they're in the same LAN, then you need to find out the IP address through which your thl Super Box is surfing the internet. See this figure below.

Then go to operate your computer, double click the icon "This PC" or "Computer" on desktop, goto File Explorer. 

In the address bar, input "ftp://IP address", the IP address is the one you found out before, for example, ftp://192.168.1.160, then press Enter Key on the keyboard.

Next you have to input the User name: root and Password: superbox, then click "Log On". If everything goes well, you will be able to access all files in thl Super Box.

Of course if you're familiar with some ftp client tools, such as FileZilla or WinSCP, then using one of these client tools will help you to do things handily and better.

P.S. How to change the login password of FTP service?

On the computer, download the APK file "Root.Explorer-4.2.4_Cracked.apk" in the attachments, and upload it to any a folder in the internal storage of TV box (The internal storage is located in /storage/emulated/0).

On TV box, find out the APK file in the internal storage, run it to install “Root Explorer”(Shown as “R.E.管理器” in “My Apps”).

In Root Explorer, locate to the path “/data/data/xiaoqidun.anmpp/files/root/android.bftpd/etc”.

Select the file “passwd.conf”, open it in Text Editor as the figure below.

 

In Text Editor, the string “superbox” is the default login password of FTP service, modify it to a login password that you want. Don’t forget to save the file after modification.

The final step: Restart TV box to make the modification take effective.
