Hi all,

I ran into the following error when importing data preprocessed and converted to TVB format using tvb_converter_pipeline.sh:

UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xb0 in position 37: invalid start byte

I have successfully uploaded this same dataset previously (consisting of T1w, DWI, and fMRI data) but re-processed and uploaded it as the simulation failed, saying there were surface holes. I encountered this error when uploading the connectome zip file. I checked all the files in the zip file and they all were in UTF-8 encoding. I am unsure how to 1) resolve this error and 2) identify which file had this error at position 37.

Thanks!

Hello,

I am not familiar with `tvb_converter_pipeline.sh`, but we have a tutorial here. Could that help you a little?

Otherwise, from tvb import perspective, to know more, could you share the entire stack-trace ? or the failing connectome.zip ? or the relevant python code producing this error ?
If not appropriate to share here, a private email might also work.

Best,
Lia.
