The Mercury and the Moon

I wish I'd known about this amazing conjunction of Mercury and the Moon, so I could have set up a scope and camera for a proper shot.

I was walking into Trader Joe's yesterday evening when I was able to catch this quick shot with my phone.  Obviously not the optimum imaging system for the event, but it does capture a little bit how beautiful this conjunction was.

I really hope others were able to catch it.

I planned on it but Nature had other plans… clouded over!!!
