EVENT TITLE:  OSIRIS-REx Samples from Asteroid Bennu:  Curation Celebrations & Challenges

DATE:  Wednesday, February 19 from 2pm -3:15pm Eastern (1 – 2:15pm Central; 12 – 1:15pm Mountain; 11-12:15pm Pacific). (*Note: AZ will be on the same time as Mountain time on the day of this event.)  

 

DESCRIPTION:  Join this FREE NASA Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) interactive webinar as members of our Curation Team at NASA’s Johnson Space Center share curation celebrations and challenges associated with the OSIRIS-REx sample return mission to asteroid Bennu. This session will be geared towards educators and their students - targeting grades 5-9 – though other grade levels and individual educators welcome to participate.  Participants will interact with Nicole Lunning, Christopher Snead, Maritza Montoya, and Salvador Martinez. Presentation will last approximately 40 minutes followed by an optional ~20-30 minutes of Q&A.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
