ThisI have noticed has been a HUGE requested feature throughout Google.

This is the Year 2023!! With a Firmware update along with updating the App this could be done. This should be a standard feature.

I have had my Doorbell for over a year and it so annoying having my normal Ringtone on my Android Phone as notification for the Doorbell!! On my iPad it uses the standard Ringtone for Facetime!! There is currently no possible way to change it.

Already having to address Arlo Solar Panel problem connected to Arlo 4 Pro (which finally got fixed yesterday by Firmware update), when is Arlo going to address this... If only I knew this annoying feature was there I would of looked elsewhere...

I have an Android Phone and and iPad, I DO NOT have an iPhone which is the link you directed me to. I have an Android Phone and an iPad as I mentioned above.

At the moment there is no way to change it on Android Phone or iPad. Why is this feature available for iPhone and not Android or iPad? There are just as many Android Phones out there!!

The norm is when bringing out a Product you make it available for all devices ie; Google Home is Android and they make it available across the board, even IOS.

Why do I get Emails saying that I got the answer to this problem within and to mark it as resolved. NO I did not get an answer to fix this problem The answer was for iPhone NOT Android.

So this problem still exists ty.

Arlo, when will you be providing a custom doorbell ringtone option for Android? While you're at it, why not just a notification instead of a call from my doorbell, especially when I'm home? I can see this has been an issue for years. I am just setting up my system, but will be returning it if it's true that Arlo has no intention of resolving this issue. It's one thing to have good cameras, it's an entirely different matter to have a crude security system. Notification customization is a pretty simple feature to program. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this issue.

Surely there has to be something a technology company can do to allow their customers to decide what notifications they need, especially if they are working from home. Other video door bell manufacturer's have this ability!

I totally agree, it is ridiculous, and especially with the several seconds of delay before that phone call comes, it was always distressing to me until I learned to ignore, that the phone would start ringing just as I was approaching the door to answer the doorbell. Especially the first few times, before I was used to that, and I let the incoming call go to voicemail but then couldn't find it! Was I losing my mind? No, the product designers were. Even after I understood what was going on, it would feel like too many things happening at once, and what if it was someone else calling about something important? Also annoying to fiddle with and cancel the call before I open the door, so that my visitor can have a welcoming experience. At best it delays answering the door and in most cases it means the person answering the door is slightly frazzled and has to apologize for those noises in the background, or if the doorbell annoyingly started prompting for a voicemail in a jarring mechanical voice while I was standing there trying to receive the person warmly.

Eventually I turned off the voicemail antifeature, and wish I could turn off the calls as well and just have the notification. Two-way communication could still be supported if clicking the notification brought up a screen in the app providing a push to talk function. If I could not do that, but could just set my own ringtone for the Arlo calls, at least then I could set a 30 second custom ringtone that makes an initial doorbell-like sound and then gets quieter as it goes. Maybe some people might still prefer the legacy call functionality but it could be made to support either mode.

Of course I know I would be dreaming to even request it, or to have any hope that it would ever be done, as it's very clear that Arlo has no intention of serving its smart home customers and does not understand their needs.

As there are zero replies to this query from both @JamesC and @ShayneS it just goes to prove that either they don't know the answer and can't be bothered to admit this or, if they repesent the company, the company has zero interest in the questions posted by their user-base.

I completely agreeIt sounds like this may be an archetecture desisn problem Cant make the doorbell a contact so cant give it a distinctive ring. Please adress this, should i upgrafe all my cameras? or go with Ring?? Im sure I am not the only one pondering this

For personalized support specific to the Arlo products you own, access Support from within the Arlo iOS or Android App. Simply login to your Arlo App, go to Settings, Support, then select the Arlo product you would like support for.

I have actually tested this on the T8210 with latest firmware and found that the sliders work just fine. The prerecorded responses are unfortunately played over the ringtone volume. This is supposedly by design.

Will they be pushing this fix to the battery doorbell?

I just purchased this to replace our Ring Doorbell, I am now having considering sending it back for a refund and putting the ring back on. It would help if they gave an update to this.

I had the same issue of not been able to set the volume down of the home base speaker when ringing the doorbell. I found that going to the setting options- Indoor Chime- Homebase as Chime- there you can adjust the Homebase ringtone volume.

The ringtones on this website are in .mp3 format and is compatible with almost all mobile phones. Download ringtones and use them on Nokia Mobile phones, Samsung, Sony Ericsson phones, LG mobiles, Motorola phones etc...

When someone walks on my doorstep, I like to receive... Exactly! A notification sound. (on my phone)

If someone rings my doorbell, I would like to receive a... Exactly! A doorbell ringtone. Just like other doorbells do.

(and not just a notification with the exact same sound as if someone were walking in my driveway.)

How can I set the different sounds. I can now only change the default notification in the app. In addition, when I adjust the notification sound in the Reolink app, this adjustment is immediately changed for all other notifications.

I must be doing something wrong because every other doorbell I had so far allowed me to choose different sounds in the doorbell settings for ringing the bell and a person alert.

I have now installed the latest software and firmware, but even now I cannot set any sounds.

The Eufy was slow, that's why it's gone, but there was at least a real bell sound and another sound for warnings.

If this is how it works with Reolink, i will considder to sell it.

If I remember correctly, for Holloween they did custome auto responses but not the ringtones.

Any case, go to the eufy community and check with sup...@eufylife.com to see if they have any plans for Christmas.

As Capon celebrates its 85th anniversary season, Capon guest Sue Dietterle marks her 60th straight year of visits. But because she has been living so far away, she still gets nostalgic for some Capon comfort. So she recorded and converted the Capon dinner bell into a ring tone. Now every time she receives a phone call, she gets a little taste of Capon (or rather gets her taste buds ready for Capon!)

Another Capon guest thought that was such a great idea, he wanted everyone to have that opportunity. So Andy Leer figured out the easiest way for both iPhone and Android users to also load the Capon Spring Dinner Bell on their phones.

Just follow these instructions. And if you get stuck, just contact your cell phone provider and they can assist you. Third generation family member Jonathan Bellingham did it- so now he hears the Capon bell ringing every time you call!

This is something I've wanted to be able to do for years. I imagine there have probably been some good DIY methods for a while (I could totally see doing this via Arduino), but the commercial variants have been slow to market for an idea that makes so much sense. I mean, if we are already so obsessed as a culture with customizing the ringtones on our phones, why not with our home doorbells? So, when Honeywell offered to send me a review sample of their wireless doorbells, a couple of which have the ability to accept .mp3, .midi and .wav files, I was happy to oblige and give them a try.

Choose which events your camera or doorbell can detect and record (people, motion, package etc.). From there, you and each member of your home can decide which of those events to get notifications for.

When you turn on a seasonal theme, a unique sound greets visitors when they ring the doorbell. If you use visitor announcements for your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, the sound plays on the doorbell and in your home.

Your doorbell still sends notifications to your phone when someone rings the doorbell. The visitor should then hear a tone when they press the button, but your indoor chime won't sound and you won't get visitor announcements from your Google Assistant.

The only option Google Nest provides for changing the ringtone for the Google Nest Hello Doorbell is the option to select a holiday ringtone using the "Doorbell theme" option under "Device Options" in Settings, but Google removes this option from the Google Nest app and sets the ringtone back to "Ding Dong" when--in Google's estimation--the holiday is over. Judging from another post, they apparently removed it recently now that Google regards the Christmas season as over (even though winter, which was a selectable theme, is definitely NOT over).
